However, if the operating system is unable to boot, then you can run ScanDisk from the Emergency Startup Diskette. ScanDisk utility thoroughly examines the hard disk. But, ScanDisk may take a long time in examining the hard drive , if it is run in Thorough mode ( depending upon the size of the hard drive). In case, this utility detects numerous errors on a diskette or hard drive, then you need to replace it. In these situations, you need to seek help from hard disk recovery technicians. These are highly qualified and experienced technicians who carefully repair and replace the damaged part of the hard drive under the safe surroundings of Clean Rooms.
