Windows Vista may encounter certain issues related with software and hardware configuration in the operating system and BIOS respectively. When we power up the system it sends signals connected to all the hardware (known as IRQs - Interrupt Requests) during the POST (Power on Self Test) procedure. After the system control gets transferred to the operating system and in case it figures out problem, the operating system tries to repair it.
